Smoked mackerel and new potato salad
Smoked mackerel and new potato salad is easy, tasty and quickly prepared. Serve it with a green salad, either at home on your patio or out on a picnic.
Ingredients
New potato salad:
600 g cooked cold new potatoes
5 dl mayonnaise
1 dl sour cream
3 tbsp coarse mustard
3 tbsp chives
Salt and black pepper
Smoked mackerel:
4 mackerel fillets
1/2 lemon
1 tbsp salt flakes
1/2 tsp chili flakes
Step-by-step
Step 1
Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream,
mustard, salt, black pepper, and chives.
Slice and stir in the potatoes.
Step 2
Squeeze the lemon over the mackerel fillets.
Sprinkle the salt and chili flakes over the fillets
on the meat side.
Step 3
Heat the smoker to 80–100 degrees.
Place the mackerel on the grate and
smoke for about 20 minutes until
the core temperature reaches
58 degrees Celsius.
Step 4
Serve with the new potato salad.
