One-pot lasagne
As good as regular lasagna but without any complicated steps.
Ingredients
Oil
500g ground beef
1 yellow onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped or pressed
1 can crushed tomatoes (approx. 400g)
3 tbsp tomato paste
5 dl water
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
About 7-8 fresh lasagna sheets (cut into pieces to fit the pan)
2 dl crème fraîche
2 dl grated cheese
About 120g mozzarella
Fresh basil for serving
Step-by-step
Step 1
Heat oil in your Muurikka pan over an open fire. Sauté the onion, add the ground beef and press in the garlic, browning until the beef is colored.
Step 2
Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, spices, and water. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
Step 3
Place the lasagna sheets into the sauce, making sure they are covered.
Step 4
Drop dollops of crème fraîche on top, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle grated cheese. Tear the mozzarella into smaller pieces and distribute it in the pan.
Step 5
Cover the pan with a lid or foil and let it simmer until the lasagna sheets are soft and the cheese is golden and bubbling – about 5 minutes.
Step 6
Top with fresh basil.
