Round smoking container for gas, electric or open fire.
The round Smoking Container is a perfect accessory for the Muurikka Summer Kitchen Gas and Electric. Gas burners and the Electric Grill provide the smoking container with even and easily controlled heat, which makes smoking fish, meat and vegetables easy. Wooden handle makes it easier to move the lid. Also suitable for open fire. Made of stainless steel.
Place the fat plate onto the chips. Place the gutted fish onto the grating and the lid onto the smoking container. The fish is ready when the backbones and skin come off easily. You can also salt the fish after smoking and avoid the brine from corroding the inside. Clean and dry the smoking container and griddle always after use. In this case, the product is immediately ready for the next use and the dripped salt will not corrode the smoking container.
Smoking meat: Meat can first be cooked in a grill or pan and finally flavoured with smoke in the smoking container. You can also cook the food directly in the smoking container and also add the smoking chips towards the end of cooking. When smoking meat, you can also try other types of smoking chips besides alder chips, such as apple tree or oak.

Sprinkle smoking chips, such as alder chips, evenly on the bottom of the Smoking Container. You can also carve the chips from an alder yourself. To get additional colour or taste, you can add juniper branches or 2–3 sugar cubes on the chips.
Place a drip tray on the smoking chips, then a grate.
Gut the fish and stack them evenly on the grate placed in the Smoking Container. You can reduce the sticking of the fish to the grate by greasing the grate with cooking oil before inserting the fish. You can also salt the fish after smoking.
Place the Smoking Container on the Gas Burner or Electric Grill or an open fire.
When using on a Muurikka Electric Grill:
Place the lid on the Smoking Container and lift the Smoking Container onto the heating elements of the Muurikka Electric Grill. Insert the power cable plug into a grounded socket and set the electric grill thermostat to max. temperature for the duration of smoking. The fish is ready when the backbones come off easily. After smoking, you can keep the fish warm by setting the thermostat to minimum temperature (position 1 in the controller). After use, turn the thermostat controller to position 0 and unplug the connection cable.
After use, clean and dry the smoking container, drip tray and grate for next use. Dripped brine can corrode stainless steel over time.
