3 dl milk

1 dl wheat flour

2 eggs

2 g sugar

2 tsp salt

10 slices of white bread

Butter for frying

To serve:
Cream cheese
Berry jam, e.g. raspberry or strawberry

Cinnamon mix:
2 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp sugar

Coffee over an open fire:
4 tbsp ground coffee
4 dl water


Step 1

Whisk milk, flour, eggs, salt and
sugar into a smooth batter.

Dip the bread slices into the batter
and cook them in butter on both sides
until golden brown. Sprinkle cinnamon mix
over them and serve with berry jam and
cream cheese.

Step 3

Coffee over an open fire:

1.    Mix water and coffee grounds,
directly in the coffee pot. 
2.    Bring the coffee to the boil three times.
Every time it starts to boil, remove the pot
from the fire for 2–3 minutes. 
3.    Leave to stand for five minutes to release
the flavour and let the coffee grounds sink to the bottom. 
4.    Serve
