With the Muurikka sandwich iron, you can prepare warm sandwiches with ease at the campfire or on the grill.  Can also be used in the preparation of meat, fish or vegetable dishes. Durable cast iron retains heat exceptionally well. The wooden handle provides a good slip-free grip. Product dimensions 20.6 cm x 11 cm, length 74 cm.

  1. Clean the sandwich/waffle iron with mild detergent and warm water. Dry it completely.
  2. Coat the iron frying sides with Muurikka Silava frying fat or cooking oil. Do not use butter.
  3. Put the iron over an open fire for about 15 minutes. Take it out and wipe out the inside. Repeat the process of coating it with Muurikka Silava frying fat or cooking oil. Put it over the fire again. After the second re-heating take it and let it cool down.
  4. You can repeat the fat treatment again if necessary. Always use fat for cooking.

Always clean the iron after use, dry it completely. Coat the iron frying side lightly with cooking oil or Muurikka Silava frying fat.

Clean, dry and grease the iron before longer storage by heating with Muurikka Silava frying fat or cooking oil (heating removes moisture from the iron and Muurikka Silava prevents rusting). Storage the iron in dry place.
