Potato waffles with jam

A slightly more filling waffle that is perfect for replenishing your energy supply – when out sledding, on the beach or in the garden. Serve with jam, berries or fruit in season.

Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 500 g grated potatoes (preferably unpeeled)
  • 5 dl wheat flour
  • 6 dl milk
  • 80 g melted butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 25 g butter + 3 tbsp vegetable oil for the waffle iron
  • Jam for finishing, e.g. lingonberry or strawberry jam

Mix the grated potatoes, wheat flour and salt. Melt the butter and add milk. Pour the milk and butter into the potato mix while stirring.

Prepare the waffle iron with butter and warm it up over the fire.

Pour the dough into the iron and fry the waffles. Turn the iron often to avoid burning the waffles. Serve with jam.
