Fresh cheese with smoked vegetables à la Henri Alén
The recipe yields the best results when cooking with the Muurikka Electric Smoking Oven PRO.
- 400 g fresh cheese
- 2 sweet peppers
- 1 courgette
- 1 box of cherry tomatoes
- 200 g broccolini (baby broccoli with stems)
- 4 sprigs of thyme
- a little olive oil
- salt and black pepper
- 1 pot of chopped basil
Additionally: Muurikka smoking basket
Cut up the sweet peppers and the courgette into chunks. Cut the broccolinis in half. Put the vegetables in a bowl and add the cherry tomatoes, thyme and olive oil. Also add a little salt and black pepper. Roll the vegetables carefully in oil and place in the smoking basket. Start smoking at level 3 until smoke begins to properly form. Then drop the power to level 2 and smoke the vegetables for around 30 minutes. Finally, sprinkle with plenty of chopped fresh cheese and basil.
