Beef burgers with extra everything

Homemade hamburgers can equally well be served at a garden party or for lunch on the terrace. Use a griddle/grill pan, or the smooth side of the pan – both have ample room for both frying the hamburger patties and warming up the buns.

Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 150 g bacon
  • 20 g butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 10 g ground black pepper

Dressing:

  • ½ dl mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp chili sauce
  • 3 tbsp pickled cucumber, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper

Toppings:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced thin
  • 2 pickled cucumbers, cut in half
  • 4 slices of American cheese
  • Skewers to hold the burger together.

Step by step:

Mix minced meat and spices and form it into four hamburger patties.

 

First, cook the bacon until it is crispy. Then, cook the patties in butter for three minutes per side or until they are done. Warm up the buns on the stove.
